I am pleased to announce that Barry Gipson has joined James Marine’s executive team as Executive Vice President of Sales and Business Development. Reporting directly to Eric Crabtree, Sr. Vice President of Operations, Barry will focus on driving the organization’s sales strategy and business development initiatives for JMI’s various affiliated and subsidiary companies.
Mr. Gipson brings to James Marine more than 14 years of extensive maritime experience from McNational, Inc. where he most recently served as President of National Maintenance & Repair, a division of McNational, Inc. There, he was responsible for all shipyard and construction operations for the Upper Mississippi River and the Gulf Coast area. Previously, Barry held numerous senior management positions while working for Ashland Petroleum Company. During his 19 year duration with Ashland, Barry was responsible for inland, great lakes and ocean tanker operations.
Mr. Gipson possesses substantial experience developing sales and business expansion strategies for emerging growth. He is a results-driven professional who has a proven track record for cultivating a vision that empowers companies for excellence. We're extremely fortunate to have someone of Barry’s caliber join our organization. He has built an excellent track record over the years in generating new business and maintaining solid client relationships. This expertise will serve invaluable to James Marine as we continue to strive for additional growth opportunities within our organization.
